The successful drilling of a new well in the El-Feel oilfield has been declared by Mellitah Oil and Gas Company as a significant breakthrough.
“FB_36,” the recently drilled well, has a production capacity of about 5,056 barrels per day, according to the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
The field is currently producing 70,000 barrels per day, and Mellitah Oil and Gas Company is in charge of managing it. This addition increases the field’s overall production capacity.
Libya’s oil production is expected to rise from 1.5 million barrels per day by the end of the current year to two million barrels per day over the next three years, according to NOC Chairman Farhat Bengdara, who sees a bright future for the industry.
