The Charge d’Affairs of the U.S. Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Burnett, announced on the official website the signing of a lease for a new U.S. Embassy site in Tripoli.
In his statement, Burnett said, “It was a pleasure today to sign the lease for the property that will enable us to continue developing our new U.S. Embassy in Tripoli—an important step toward the full resumption of U.S. diplomatic operations in Libya.
The United States is committed to strengthening our partnership with Libya and the Libyan people throughout the country.
I was honored to join Mr. Bashir Gneijowa, Director of the State Property Authority, to celebrate this occasion and thank him for the valuable support of Libyan government officials for our efforts.”
“VOICE OF LIBYA …. A VOICE FOR ALL LIBYAN.“
