The Confederation of African Football announcing that the draw for the qualifiers will take place on Thursday, 04 July 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
This marks a crucial step in the journey towards the prestigious tournament.
Forty-eight nations, which include the victorious teams from the preliminary round (Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan), will participate in the draw.
They will be divided into 12 groups, each consisting of four teams. These groups will form the battlegrounds where teams will compete fiercely for a chance to secure spots in the final tournament.
Scheduled to kick off in September 2024, the qualifiers promise intense competition as nations vie for the coveted 24 spots available at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in 2025.
